Enhancing the interrelationship between your business and your technology infrastructure is generally one of the easiest methods of improving your business performance. Organizations frequently have much more data, information, and knowledge than their business community utilizes.
In my consulting practice I focus on merchandising, marketing, and the supply chain portions of the retail and direct marketing businesses. The performance areas include improving client’s comparative store sales, improving the management of their inventory asset, and increasing their maintained gross margin. Often a successful project will involve leveraging the clients existing technology base by clearly defining goals and then modifying their business processes so they meet those goals. When the available information and/or tools are insufficient to create any competitive advantage, then I will work with the company to develop that infrastructure.
As a retail executive I am able to help you develop a global strategy to fully integrate the investment in your company’s technology infrastructure with your business. With my current technical skills I can make sure those strategies are successfully implemented.
Tactically, I first help clients identify critical KPIs, insure they are available, and develop action plans around them. Then I assist them in rationalizing their reporting and information delivery so that actionable KPIs are brought front and center. Finally, I’ll work with your functional areas to integrate approved action plans into their workflow.
